...if I die tonight, I know who holds tomorrow....

Nick Vujicic, as a boy of 8 years old, had given up. But with God's hope and will, he had learnt to stand up by himself if he had fallen and his motivation of life is not going to Heaven, but to bring as much friends as he can with him to the promised land.

Kolo Mee

A good place to have breakfast if you like kolo mee (dry noodles) is at Chong Chon Coffee Shop located at 2 1/2 mile. The Specialty of his kolo mee is that the noodles are made with bits of vegetable in the noodle itself. It is served with Barbeque pork and with big wantan (pork and prawn). The serving is quite filling, thus it is well worth RM 4.50.

Habitat

Dear Friends,
Christmas 2008 is fast approaching...have you thought of what you can or would like to do to bless another person or family to make his/her/their world a better one? Well, we at SNZGA thought that organizing this Habitat Building session would be one of the ways in which you will be able to do so. We are therefore inviting all of you to

COME BUILD WITH US!
SATURDAY 13TH DECEMBER 2008.

No construction experience is necessary. young or old, male or female, we will be able to find work appropriate for you, and we are sure that you will gain a great deal of knowledge and self-confidence from the experience... not to mention feeling great about having concretely helped (no pun intended!) to make one family's life a whole lot better.
Message from James Lo, Vice-President ,Habitat for Humanity, Kuching Affiliate.. "Thank you for believing that small individual efforts such as this, can really improve some people's lives. Many of our homepartner families describe receiving a Habitat home as being transformational. The parents can work and save better in a secure home. The children can study and grow better in a healthy environment. We can break the cycle of poverty together... all it takes is the will to make a change."

Greetings from Habitat for Humanity Kuching!
Thank you and the SNZGA members for wanting to volunteer in the Habitat housing assistance programme. It is through associations like SNZGA that helps keep our programme going.
We are helping two Bidayuh brothers and their families to build 2 concrete houses. The project is at:-
Location: Kampung Senibong, Singai, Bau.
Please make your own way to House (B) & (C) in the location map attached
Date: Saturday, 13th December 2008
Time: 9.00 - 4.00 pm; 1 hour lunch break (if anyone needs to leave to attend important personal matters, please feel free to do so)
The following are a few useful points to know:-
- Do not wear sandals or any open-toed shoes because of the danger of heavy things dropping on your feet.
- Wear old working shoes and clothes (eg. loose comfortable t-shirt) as you can get quite dirty at the site.
- Shorts are permitted but not recommended. Abrasions, cuts, scratches and sunburn are most common injuries at a build.
- Bring gloves, hats, sunblock, a change of clothes, face towel, etc.
- Please follow instructions of the Construction Supervisor or the skilled workers at all times to prevent injuries especially with regard to use of electrical tools.
- Building tools are available on site. But if you bring your own building tools, please mark them and take them home with you after each day's work, unless you may want to donate them to Habitat.
- Sign a Release & Waiver of Liability Form before you start work.
- Clean drinking water will be provided at the site.
- Please note that lunch will be on your own, this will NOT be provided.
- First Aid Kit will be available on site to attend to minor injuries.
Our Construction Supervisor who will be working with your team is Eric Yap (016-868 5619). He has been informed of your group's availability to volunteer this Saturday, 13th December 2008. I'm sure all of you will enjoy working with him.
No prior building experience is necessary. All you need is to be flexible and have a willing heart to help.
Thank you for caring and hope all of you will enjoy the build.
Best regards,

Origin of the name Dominic

From the Late Latin name Dominicus meaning "of the Lord". This name was traditionally given to a child born on Sunday. Several saints have borne this name, including the 13th-century founder of the Dominican order of friars. It was in this saint's honour that the name was first used in England, starting around the 13th century. It is primarily used by Catholics.
